A passionate and recognized as one of the inspired young classical guitarists, Chinnawat Themkumkwun is an international classical guitarist from Thailand. With numerous successful and outstanding performances in both domestic and international stages, Chinnawat has won more than 70 awards around the world, such as the Winner of the Taiwan International Guitar Competition and Winner of the Latin American Music Festival in Boston, USA. And most recent accomplishment, the First Prize of the Hannabach International Guitar Competition in Augsburg, Germany.
With a passion for music led Chinnawat received his classical guitar studies from the College of Music, Mahidol University in Salaya District, Thailand, under the guidance of Nalin Komentrakarn, Dr. Paul Cesarczyk and Dr. Rattanai Bampenyou. At the preparatory college level, Chinnawat was awarded the Excellent Student Award with the highest GPA in his class and graduated Bachelor's degree with the First-class honor. After graduating Bachelor’s with distinction, he has been awarded the ASEA-Uninet scholarships (Ernst Mach grant) to complete his studies and graduated with a Master's degree and Postgraduate program from the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Tamayo and Prof. Eliot Fisk.
With a uniquely outstanding playing style that is full of colors and imagination made Chinnawat have had many opportunities to perform in the various concerts. His past impressive concerts consisted of performing in solo concerts, chamber music concerts, bands, and all sorts of classical guitar compositions. Moreover, he had the notable opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra for two years in a row and also had selected to perform a successful concert in New York City, United States. With all his winning international classical guitar competition gave him the opportunity to perform at classical guitar festivals held all over the world.
Chinnawat Themkumkwun is an official Hannabach Artist since 2022.
